Bathsheba

Everyone knows about The Conjuring series right? The series is said to be one of the scariest series of all time. The Conjuring movie was freaky as hell unless you like witches, doll possession, etc. The movie is followed by the investigation of demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren of a Rhode Island farmhouse. The movie is set in 1971, The Perron family faces paranormal events in their house and they realize that they are haunted by an evil witch Bathsheba Sherman. Ed and Lorraine found out that the witch sacrificed her child to the devil and cursed the land who ever occupies it faces the same faith.

Who is this Witch? Why she is Haunting?

Bathsheba Sherman was born in Rhode Island in 1812, she married Hudson Sherman her boyfriend in Thompson, Connecticut on March 10, 1844. Bathsheba is a housewife and her husband Judson worked as a farmer on their land. The couple had a son, Herbert L. Sherman in March 1849. As per locals, Bathsheba had two more children before Herbert was born, but both children went missing no reports confirmed. However, there is no real evidence that supports she is a witch. Locals framed her as a witch due to her infant died mysteriously. When the baby was examined, they found a wound inside the body. The baby was impaled by a needle in the skull. So, the townspeople believed that Bathsheba killed her son as the devil's sacrifice. 

Most of them said that Bathsheba died due to a bizarre form of paralysis for which there was no treatment. She was buried across the street from the fire station and Rotary in downtown Harrisville, Rhode Island. Perron's family's connection to the spirit of Bathsheba is known by Ed and Lorraine Warren. Carolyn Perron was attacked by the Bathsheba spirit when was lying on the sofa. Ed and Lorraine helped the family with the help of the church.
